Balaclavas

Originally designed for skiing, the Chill-hood is now loved by not just skiiers but also Snowboarders, horse riders and cyclists, people fishing, hiking and climbing. The 3 in 1 fleece balaclava is perfect for winter outdoor pursuits, Dog Walkers wear them on cold winter walks and people who work outside find them essential.

As the Chillhood balaclava is made of fleece it can be folded up so as it can fit in your pocket.

We sent some to Canada with the (R.E.M.E)British Army and they gave it a glowing report.
They took 2 hoods one was twice as thick as the other.
They reported that the thicker one while warm at -35 it was difficult to work in, where as the thinner Chillhood was better to work in and could be used as a layer with all the other equipment that they wear.
We stopped making the thicker hood after this response.

So we would suggest that the Chillhood is used as a layer with the rest of your gear.
Some customers since the army report have said that it was a lifesaver in temperatures of -20 to -30.
I personally keep it as an extra layer as it folds up so small and can be carried in your pocket.
